I would say this is an average Pixar movie, which is still saying quite a bit as their movies are, in general, excellent. Fantastic animation, splendid colors, and good casting with perfectly matched voices. It is not quite endearing as Toy Story and Nemo and not as good a story as Incredibles or Ratatouille, but it is still definitely worth a view, and probably even a purchase. The "big city" scenes are humorous, along with the circus crew - definitely worth a few laughs with David Hyde Pierce, Denis Leary, Madeline Kahn, John Ratzenberger, and Brad Garrett as some of the voices. The antagonists (Grasshoppers) are adequate as villains and Kevin Spacey does a great job playing Hopper, their leader. Flik, the protagonist, is a likable, but not lovable character, which for me, sums up the movie in general - likable, but not lovable.
