TRON is a true "cult classic" movie. Created in 1982 it was way, way ahead of its time. The plot centers around a prodigal computer game programmer
who gets sucked into the video game that he created, and he has to find (and fight) his way out. The unique graphical elements of the movie are pretty
advanced, and the humans versus computer theme was well before Terminator or the Matrix, to name a couple. The movie is also quite a bit deeper than its
surface. Very much like the Matrix movies decades later, there are some very deep, spiritual themes that get played out with the emphasis on faith. In many
ways, also like the Matrix, this is a high-tech retelling of the story of Jesus Christ and in faith in a higher power. Those deeper elements notwithstanding,
TRON is a movie that, whether you like it or not, has its place in movie history deeply entrenched. Like most cult classics it is a victim of its own
originality. For many people, it is quickly dismissed as a techy sci-fi film that does not suit their tastes. I can appreciate that some people simply will
not like this movie, and that is fair. I've always thought it would be a GREAT movie to show and discuss in an academic setting, as it has deeper meaning
and is a relatively underappreciated precursor to the enormously successful Matrix movies.

"Space Paranoids" !!!!!!!!
It's dated, but is definitely cult cool. If you liked this movie, get Kingdom Hearts II and adventure alongside Tron himself. Easily the best area in the game. Too bad it didn't do so well at the box office. It was clearly too much, too soon.
Now you shall deal with ME.....as delegated by her Evilness.

Ah, TRON. So much love for you back in the good old days. Not so much for my kiddies however. They thought it was awful. I've learned that there are many
of these older movies that I loved, but just don't make it with the next generation. Times they are a changin'!
