Malory is still at camp. We get to pick her up on July 5th. I plan on being first in line. I hate to grab her things and go but we have a family reunion on the same day in another state and it will be about a 5-6 hour drive to get there from the camp.
The boys have been doing great since I brought them to the dr. Last weekend we went to visit hubby's side of the family and PHilip started coughing until he was vomitting and he was having a very hard time breathing. SO now he takes 3-4 breathing treatments/day and has SIMILAR to asthma. Actually it is a twitchy broncheal opening and he produces about 4-5 times the mucus he needs. So he has some allergies too. Not too suprising to me. Malory had the same thing but when she was much younger than this.
We found this out while we were picking potatoes, cucumbers, green beans, squash and blueberries. He went into a gasping fit while we were picking. Talk about SCAREY!!
Lance's Paw-Paw will be 91 next weekend and grows vegetables on his farm. He sells them but we got to pick some. I got TWO GALLONS of blueberries so you KNOW I have been baking up a storm this week.
A few weeks ago Philip had an incident at childcare that didn't set easy with me. A teacher pulled his hair. Now grant you, I know he can get on people's nerves but I do expect the adults (especially those that work in this kind of a setting) to have PATIENCE with the children. I called the owner and she said she would look into it. Well, even Nathan confirmed it. And if PHilip lies to me then he tells me the truth within a couple of hours. He is a lousy liar. Well, I had been looking at a new school but they had not called me. Well, on Thursday they called me. THey had two openings. SO PHilip and Nathan will start on Monday. But the owner said Philip was the one that was lying and that there was another teacher out there at the time that confirmed that the other teacher had not done anything to PHilip. I sit on the board that shuts childcare facilities down and I had just helped there other facility with some "paperwork" that was nothing major (that is why I didn't mind helping them). But on Friday when I told Philip that he was going to a new school on Monday he said, "Miss Holly told me I was lying to my Mommy but I wasn't. Miss Summer really did pull my hair." He had no reason to stick by his story anymore but he still stood by it so it told me he has been telling me the truth in the matter. But anyway, I'm looking forward to see how he does at this new school.
Yesterday Lance took the boys out of town to my brothers to play with my nephews. They spent the night. Then went to my mom & dad's today. I stayed behind to make sure all linens were washed in really hot water (b/c of Philip's allergies) and then today I went to the office and scrubbed floors and toilets.
******************* After this I am about to post what we did as a family on Saturday AM before Lance left to go out of town - Some might find it really gross or cruelty to animals so there is your warning.

*We butchered our six chickens. When we bought them the guy from Texas said that he thought he saw one or two roosters in the bunch. He is the bird expert so I assumed he knew. Well guess what -
ALL SIX OF THEM WERE ROOSTERS!! Every single one of them had two testicles!!!! I would have been waiting a MIGHTY LONG TIME waiting for some stupid eggs!! Which is the only reason I bought the chickens. So anyway, now we have chicken in the freezer - hormone free. Lance and I split the duties. He killed 3 and I killed 3. He plucked 4 and I did 2. But he had to gut all of them b/c I don't eat any of those gizzards and he KNEW that if he left me to do it I was going to chunk everything inside of them.
The boys had a good time helping catch them, and then moving them from area to area for us. Kind of a good learning lesson for them.
Anyway, that is what we have been up to.
