We just made a trip to the Disney Outlet store (which will be leaving next month <sigh>) and my son fell in love with this oval stained glass piece
they had. The new shipment of stuff just came in and she was just opening this box to see what was in it. We fell in love and it came home with us. It's
definitely one of our best ever Disney Treasures. I can't wait to get it in it's permanant place in his bedroom window. The word
"Disneyland" looks a bit faded in the photo but I think that was because of the flash. It's written in a kind of silver-grey but very clear on
the stained glass in person.
Just wanted to share our new treasure with everyone. So, what is Your favorite treasure? Is there a story behind it?

That is a beautiful treasure! I've always thought what my favorite thing to get when I visit WDW and I probably couldn't decide on one thing but I do
have to say that my photos are my most precious treasure. I know that's sort of corny but when I feel blue, I look at my photos from years gone by & it
makes me laugh, cry, or whatever but I do love them! Thanks for sharing

I don't think photos are corny at all. I think it's awesome that they're your favorite Disney treasure! The memory of my last trip is really
another of my favorite Disney treasures - I didn't have my camera with me and they did the year of 100 dreams.. or thousand dreams.. or what ever fireworks
show with the introduction by Julie Andrews, it was the most awesome amazing fireworks show I've ever seen. I so wish I could have taken pictures of it!
I know it may sounds a bit odd but I'm a WAY bigger Disney fan now than when I was a kid.

thats not weird at all bulvi. i find that i enjoy disney more now as well.
the fireworks show is called "wishes" (i think) its the same one that they've been doing since the 50th aniversary. they're planning a new one for 2010 for the 55th anniversary. or so i've heard.

I love your stained glass piece. I have to say my favorite Disney treasure is also my photos and the memories I have from my trips with my mom. We only went
once when I was a kid and now that I am an adult we have gone 2 times in the past five years with a third in December. We agreed we would make going to Disney
every few years a new tradition since we both enjoy it so much.

THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!
One of my favorite Disney treasures is actually my Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast pin. My family and Schmee's family made a trip in 2005, and my mom, sister, niece and I did the breakfast and just had the BEST time, and afterwards we OWNED Fantasyland. I look at that pin and it just brings back SUCH awesome memories.

That is truly gorgeous! Thank you for sharing it with us all.
I think my favorite Disney treasure, oh my this is hard, would have to be my 1st Villains Snowglobe. Martin and I were on our Honeymoon and had just ridden the Haunted Mansion together for the first time. We went into that little gift shop across from Columbia Harbor House and there it was- awesome and huge with every villain and Chernabog in the water globe part, all their eyes lit up- well, you get the idea. I am sure Martin saw that I was taken with it (to put it mildly) and he chose one and bought it for me on the spot. It resides with my collection on top of my desk and I look at it all the time! |

That is a gorgeous stained glass piece! We don't have an outlet around here....and our store doesn't carry that kind of stuff, unfortunately.
Pictures are definately a main treasure for me.....I love looking at them and reliving the trip. This last trip, Marty really got into finding pins that I would like and buying them for me, on the sly. He bought me a Rock N Roller Coaster pin from Everything Pop that is really cool looking. He also found me a Pirate Tink and a few other Pirate themed ones. I'll treasure those from this trip.

I couldn't pick just one. Everytime we go on a disney vacation we come back with a treasure trove. Memories are the best for me, My daughter makes Disney
magical all over for me, and most of my treasures come from seeing the park through her eyes each time. We have a photo of her standing in front of the
Partners and I remember her saying afterwards (she was maybe 5) "Walt Disney is my favorite man besides Daddy" That is my favorite memory. She says
it everytime she sees a picture of Walt Disney. That was 4 years ago and many trips ago, but she still remembers that he's her 2nd favorite man (Poor
Grandpa! She did assure him he was a close 3rd.)

I can not say I have a favorite as I have tons but I do have a few really different pieces I will share. The first one is a hand painted mickey mouse on a
feather, framed. The next is a picture that if you are coming from one direction it is Mickey mouse but from the other direction it is donald duck and the last
is a hand painted mickey on a sand stone. Two of these were gifts from friends and the third I found on Ebay but all are so unique I really love them.

In the late 50's I went to DLR with my family, on one of our frequent trips. There was a store between the entrance to Tomorrowland and SB Castle that sold
Disney artwork and such. With my saved-up allowance, I bought an original cell from Sleeping Beauty! I dont think it cost more than $3.00, but I chose it out
of literally hundreds they had there. I still have it and it hangs on my bedroom wall. It shows 2 of the fairies, the one in purple and the one in teal blue,
with their wands out, ready to cast a spell.
I've always loved fairies and pixies. It's amazing how much it means to me. Anyway, that's my Disney treasure, along with many, many lovely special memories. Andrea

They are some great treasures!! I think so far my "treasure" is my certificate from Waking up Tinkerbell...I have the memory right here in my head
but the certificate helps!! I felt like a small child again, I was so excited and the CMs were really great even though I was older lol!! Later in the day we
went back to Tinkerbell's Treasures and could hear her 'flying' around the store and all I could think was "I did that!!" That's
Disney magic!!

I love reading about everyones treasures. It was hard to pick one but my favorite is my Hatbox Ghost Big Fig. I love LOVE the Haunted Mansion, always have
since my first visit as a child. He really neat because he's huge and his teeth and eyes light up. And it does have a special memory for me because my
husband bought it for me when we went to Disneyland for our anniversary (without the kids). It was such a nice trip and it'd been a long time since we were
able to come and go when we wanted and relax. Being able to sit and watch and take it in as opposed to being pulled in 2 different directions.

It took me a long time to think about this one, it's so hard to choose. I guess for me it would be my "Partner's" pin, since that's my
favorite spot in the World, and my pearl ring and necklace. (even though they don't actually say 'Disney')
The yellow pearl I got in the Japan Pavillion (where you pick out the oyster) the first time I went to WDW 17 yrs ago, but I never had it set. On a whim, I brought it with me last year, picked another oyster in Japan and got the white one. The next day we went to Downtown Disney and they have a pearl place there - I picked an oyster and got the black pearl, so I had the two light pearls set in the ring and the black one set as a necklace. I wear the ring everyday and the necklace as often as I can - it always gives me a "Disney - Magic" smile when I look at them. |
