Have you ever seen somebody do anything at Disney so outrageous, so jaw-dropping, and so out there that literally stopped you in your tracks and made you ask yourself if you really saw what you just saw (good or bad)?

Did I Really Just See That...at Disney????? |

I love reading those threads where we talk about what is your favorite, most disgusting, most embarrassing, most magical (etc.) moments in
Disney.

This time around, the most I saw were the inappropriate modes of dress on teenage, and not so teenage, girls and women. Especially on or around water rides.
I thought you weren't supposed to walk around in bathing suits......or in this case, string bikinis.....at the Disney Parks? I'm not a prude, but I
think that if you want to wander in a swimsuit, go to Blizzard Beach or something, will ya? And some of the outfits that other parents were letting their 8
year old daughters out in just had Marty and I rolling our eyes and saying "not our daughter".
Some minor rudeness at Pirates of the Carribean....a few women just breezing past everyone line, supposedly to catch up to their party, one of the women using a stroller to plow her way past everyone and nearly knocking me over while I stood holding my one year old. Yeah...that one had me a bit stunned. Not sure what happened of if a CM stopped them...I didn't see them anywhere else in line. But no out and out disgusting stuff...and I was prepared and looking too! ![]()

Most times yea there will be one person who's so rude that it makes go ...what?.. usually it will be someone using a foul word around kids that makes me do
a double take - you just don't expect that in the magic kingdom - most times i try to overlook that kinda stuff and not think about it. But I'm writing
about something that made me go.. what? and this was a good thing.
Over on Tom Sawyers island.. i forget what they renamed it but they have Jack Sparrow walking around. I SO wanted my sweetie Kat to get her picture with him cause she'd never seen him and he SO looks like Jack - anyway we found him and there was a little kid there and he goes up to Jack and gives him the Jack Sparrow pin from his starter lanyard and Jack looks at it and talks to the boy and was so sweet and he tried to give the pin back and the little boy wouldn't take it - so Jack tried to get him to use it to trade pins with another boy there - to teach him how to pin trade but the boy didn't want that - The sweet little tyke just wanted to give Jack a present. Now that was awesome! And something you.. or at least I - just dont' see very often. |

Nothing really out of line this trip. A few younger kids (like between 8 and 12) using those wheelie-shoes. I HATE those things. Kids think they own the
sidewalks/walkways (anywhere) with those things.
Back in 1999, we were staying at the Caribbean Beach Club, walking back to our room from Port Royale, and suddenly Susie is walking between me and Anthony and the beach area to our right, moving us along briskly. I missed it, but she said that there was a woman sunning herself topless in one of the hammocks. Guess she thought that since she kinda sunk down into the hammock she was hidden from the guests walking by. And she wasn't just right along the edge of the walkway, she was off the path a bit. I dunno why I missed it, but did...guess I was just concerned with getting all of us to our park of the day. Does This Signature Make My Butt Look Big?

The only thing that ever happened to me was when we were waiting for the parade in AK, I had both of my boys (ages 5 and almost 3) in a stroller and we were
right up against the rope with the stroller and an older couple practically tripped to get in front of my kids in a stroller to see the parade. I was like
hello we've been waiting here at least an hour for this parade and you show up 5 minutes before it starts. So I said very loudly "Michael can you put
Nicholas on your shoulders so he can see someone went in front of our stroller" and the woman turned around looked at the ground and
......................... smiled at me. I was never so mad in my life. I moved our stroller to another spot and we happily watched the parade with no one in
front us.

I was about 13 and we had taken my cousin Jennifer with us to DLR. It was my parents and 4 teen/preteen girls and we all decided to go on the Jungle Cruise.
There we were enjoying our guide who was extremely funny and he tells us we are coming up to the Hippo pools. He says " The dangerous hippos aren't
the ones blowing bubbles and wiggling their ears. They are up in the trees!" My dad who is taping this videos my sister Sara and cousin both looking up in
the trees for the DANGEROUS HIPPOS!! We never laughed so hard in our lives when we watched it back at home!

Mickeyspal - I used to live in New Orleans so you learn to tell rude people where to get off too. I would have tapped them on the shoulder and told them I was
going to tell a CM what two old people did to two little kids and see if they would have moved. If not I would have offered to move them myself. Dh and I live
in an area that children are seen as wonderful blessings and treated very well and all the adults around look out for the younger ones. Even the children that
a just a few years older are always looking out for the younger ones. UGH - there was my rant on the old people acting like they had no sense.
My story is about the time that we were bringing Malory to the castle for breakfast. We were like # 10 in line at the gate and the gate was due to open in about 10 minutes. We had about 15 more groups of people behind us. So this lady comes strolling real fast up to the gate with her child in the stroller. She snaps her finger and motions for the guy to come open the gate. He looks at her puzzled and walks over to her, "Can I help you?" he says. "Open the gate! I have reservations at the Castle and need to get there." Then she flashes that little piece of paper they give you at check-in showing you date and time of your reservations. I said, "Ma'am, We all have reservations at the castle." She looks at the line and her jaw drops, "ALL OF YOU?" she asks. And we all respond, "All of US."

Go Debra, go Debra! That would have been great to capture on video! I have to regale my tale of the Pop Century pool again. I just gotta! I have never been so horrified at Disney. A little boy peeing (quite proudly) into the pool in broad daylight. Where were his parents? Well, his Dad was right next to him. He laughed, and then proceeded to do the same thing!!! I hurried Lauren along. She was only 8 but I was trying to point out anything of interest to keep her from looking towards the pool! |

WELL..... I have debated and debated as to whether I would share this story or not. I have decided that this forum has gotten wayyy to negative and it needed
to be lightened up a bit. One day Nena and I were sitting in an area that we use to cherish and trade at everyday. (Disney as since taken this area from us,
but one day we will find another one just as nice) I always wear a long shirt and today was not exception. I got pretty hot and started to sweat a little.
Without thinking I took the bottom of my shirt and bent over in my chair and wiped the sweat from my brow. When I finished I looked at Nena who was sitting
there staring at me with her mouth wide open and a shocked look on her face. I knew immediately what had happened. I asked her.... did I just flash you? She
said nothing but nodded yes, her mouth still wide open. The area was packed with people and we both started laughing hysterically. When a friend of ours came
over and asked us what was so funny. Well being the direct person I am I told our friend Mike exactly what I did and both of us turned red. Of course, I had on
a bra and thankfully no one but Nena saw it but to this day we will talk about it on occassion and break out in laughter as the time I flashed Disneyland.
