As I am not a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh, I would appreciate any help! My daughters' 2nd birthday theme is going to be Winnie the Pooh...any creative

You can play pin the bee on the honey hot. I got the cutest little invites for Nicholas when he turned one. If I can find one that's not stuck in my
scrapbook I'll show you them. I did classic pooh as that's what I like. You can also go onto disney.com, they have ideas for disney themed parties as
well.
Well I looked and I can't find one now but I got it actually from a invitation place. They were quite expensive but I said to DH it's his first birthday. It was pooh in a tin bucket on the top, the cardstock was off white and the print was a seafoam green. I also got napkins with the same pooh on it and on the bottom it said Nicholas' 1st birthday. So cute I tell you. Then I got a cake from the bakery and they actually took the pooh in the bucket and put that on the cake. I have to show you pictures. I'll be back. Oh I'm so excited. ![]() ![]()

pin the tail on eeyore. Have some blown up balloons and have them pop them by sitting on them. Might be too old for 2 though. Where are all the Moms?

I know this is a big picture but I had to know you the cake. I'm having a nervous breakdown about the invite but you can get pooh one's at any
party supply store.

I just made the invitations...so I guess I'm looking for ideas about everything else.
I LOVE that cake. I was thinking of doing this one:
just because I saw the cake pan at Michael's. It looks so labor intensive though! I would love to do something like yours, but I'm not an artist, so I'm not sure how great I'd be at putting a little Winnie the Pooh on the corner. Any hints for that? Nena, I love the graphic...I googled high and low and didn't come up with very good ones, so thanks! Do you guys think 2 and 3 year olds can pin a bee or tail? Have you done it before? I assume you don't spin them...right? I've never done games with toddlers before. Any other decoration ideas, food ideas, game ideas or whatever would be greatly appreciated. I feel like there's Pooh everywhere!

You can always give Hunnybuns for party favors!! Games at that age are just pretty hard. We had some of the blow up pools, etc. and had the sprinklers on. Let
the kids run through the sprinklers, splash around in the little kiddie pools. We really outside people here, though. With that age, we just let the kids set
the tone for what they wanted to do. Play on the swingsets, etc.
Here is my thought on a cake. For the past several years, we have opted for cupcakes instead of cakes. First no cutting, slicing, divvying them out. They are perfect for hands of all sizes. Not as much gets dumped on the floors, less mess, no need for paper plates (so it's cheaper). But you could have your local bakery just do the Pooh faces on each cupcake. My friend did that with Elmo. They were really cute. We did a HSM party. Or you could do chocolate icing and do honey pots, Eeyore, Pooh, Tigger, etc. I'm a BIG fan of cupcakes instead of cakes. Then if you have some left over they can easily just take an extra with them!!! |

Sarah I didn't make that cake, a bakery did, I wish. I totally think you can do that cake, when's her birthday? You need a start tip for cake
decoratoring. I used one with cupcakes I did (they look like little santa's) anyway you just star the whole thing but I agree cupcakes are a lot easier,
depending on how many people you're having. For favors I would do bubbles, Gerber makes these fruit snacks I would put those in there too. If you're
having older kids you can just to candy. Maybe try and find a pooh pinata, one that you just pull strings, we have those here. That would be easier for
toddlers to do with mommy or daddy's help. I can also look for those candy pooh faces, I see them in the grocery store sometimes. Let me see what i can
find.

Oh and you know what else you can put in the goodies bags - little containers of play doh, that's what I did for Elizabeth's 2nd birthday. ![]() ![]()

For two I'm not sure they can do the pin the tail thing but I am thinking they would enjoy trying, yep, just no spinning.
Also, maybe have some bean bags (Sew some small Pooh bean bags) and have them throw them into a bucket that will be the "honey pot"

From a cake decorator...here is the trick to putting a graphic on the cake when you are not an artist. Print a picture of Pooh that you like. Put a piece of
wax paper over the picture. Trace the outline in frosting (use a baggie/pastry bag with a thin line tip or buy one of those writing frosting (not gel though)).
Put it in the freezer to harden. When your cake is ready and frosted, take the wax paper with your drawing out and flip it over onto the cake. Peel away the
wax paper and you have the outline that you can fill in with the colors of frosting that you want. Its really easy!
GOD HELP ME! I HOPE I DON'T PUKE THIS TIME! ![]() ![]()
