Fourteen years ago today "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" opens up on Sunset Boulevard in Walt Disney World's Disney-MGM Studios. Themed in
the old Spanish Revival style (which is the same style DCA's new front entrance will be, btw), it offers a thrilling experience of a haunted hotel where
you are trapped in an elevator that becomes stuck between dimensions. Never ridden it before?

If I had the choice to ride TOT in WDW or DLR i'd have to always go with WDW! DLR is nice but the hallway you travel down to the dropping of your elevator
at WDW completes your travel to the TWILIGHT ZONE!

It's my favorite! A total blast. Too bad the MOAE can't ride it anymore. Her very last trip on it, and the camera didn't get the picture. Boo Hoo

Well, the ride sequence is random, so sometimes you get an easy ride, and sometimes it shakes you like a martini! If she could get a guarantee of an easier
ride (like green team on Mission Space), she'd ride it. Unfortunately, the rough ride is very bad for her. It doesn't phase me, but I can see where
sending a lot of blood to someones head could make a lot of people woozie.

This is a great ride! I've done it at both DLR and WDW and hands down, WDW is a better experience! For those of you out there that are apprehensive..you
should at least try it once! It's definitely worth the shock! Come on, I tried Mission Space...I'll never do it again...but I tried it!! LOL

The WDW TOT has a bigger experience because the 'elevator' takes a trip through the building. The other DLs are just up and down and out.

Tammy got me on this at DLR in April and I have to say it wasn't that bad. I think she thought the ferris wheel was much worse!!

I've been on both and, though WDW IS better, it's not my favorite ride by far. I'm not a good "dropper". It's Sarah's fav though,
so I usually have to bite the bullet. Thank goodness DH will be there at WDW, so Nat and I can sit it out.

My husband forces me to ride this at least twice at DLR. I am not the biggest fan, but my husband and Daughter LOVE it. In fact last year I got the dream
fastpass because I was sitting at the bottom waiting for them to get done riding it for the 3rd time in a row. I think the dream cm felt sorry for all us
fraidy cats at the door.

Way too funny, Rhonda.

I have been on TOT at DLR and on Mission Space at Epcot.
Neither of which was a good idea for me (motion sickness). LOVED both rides and would go again if I could. Had to try them at least once so I would know for myself what they were like.

I really like this one but I don't recall that I got to ride it the last time we were there. I'll have to ask DH if I rode it. SAD! But I was still a
sleep deprived mommy the last time we went.

I agree that the WDW version is MUCH better than the DLR version. There's just something missing when you don't move forward through the Twilight Zone.
Either way, love the ride!
