Basementeer Posts: 73 Tue, Aug 28, 2007 11:13 AM	The first full-length release by Pixar, and the first completely CGI feature length film to ever be released, Toy Story is an all-time great. In fact, Toy Story was recently named the best animated film of all time, and is on many prominent lists for the best movies of all time, animated or not. This is the film that put Pixar on the map as a great film production company, and with good reason. The animation completely blew people away. The acting and voice overs were perfectly harmonized with a fantastic cast, and the story was fun and original. It is the story of the secret life of toys and how they interact while we are not watching. Woody, the incumbent favorite toy of Andy, gets some competition and is more than a bit jealous of the new toy in town, Buzz Lightyear. The rivals eventually become pals and partners when they realize there is enough room for both of them, and that they need each other to survive - thus creating one of the best buddy pairs Disney has ever created. Pixar has since continued to make dazzling movies, but Toy Story will always be the first, and to many, the best.

Basementeer Posts: 97 Sat, Sep 1, 2007 03:58 PM	Me too. I really enjoyed this movie. I love the premise that our "toys" come to life when we're not around. How many of us knew a Sid when we were growing up? Tom Hanks was great at Woody and was Tim Allen as Buzz.

Master Basementeer Posts: 498 Mon, Sep 3, 2007 03:36 PM THE MOM OF THE MZTRESS & Grandma to One-little-Spark	My favorite by Pixar,,When I was a child,I always dreamed my toys came alive,When I saw this movie for the first time(as a Grandma), it was like visiting my childhood dreams. The fact of the matter of toys, they were much more fun before batteries , children used their imagination more and became more creative in playtime,Had longer attention spans etc.
