The New Tomorrowland Trailer Raises Way More Questions Than it Answers
The second trailer for Tomorrowland just came out, on the heels of a Facebook Q&A with Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof.
This trailer gives us a much more detailed look into the mysterious world of Tomorrowland, and also the devastating state of an earth that needs to be saved because, as Frank Walker (George Clooney) puts it, “every second that ticks by, the future is running out.” According to our interpretation of the ticking clock Frank’s watching, it seems like the future has approximately 63 more days.
After finding a Tomorrowland pin planted in her personal affects, Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) is determined to find out what it all means. She somehow tracks down Frank Walker at his house (complete with hologram dog) and the two realize they are being followed—apparently someone does not want Casey to make it to Tomorrowland.
Besides a closer look at the story of the film, this second trailer showcases sweeping views of Tomorrowland and its futuristic technology. We still have a lot of questions (What’s the deal with Hugh Laurie’s character? What has gone so wrong on Earth? Why does Casey have a cool NASA hat?) and we can’t wait to see more come out about this film. Tomorrowland hits theaters May 22.
