It’s almost that time of year again…when Epcot turns into an even bigger playhouse for wine-ing, dine-ing adults and culture absorbing kiddies. September 25 through to November 16 are the dates for this year’s 20th anniversary of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. So what’s new at the festival?
Eat to the Beat is now available for Fast pass +
If you are interested in one of the many groups of musicians playing during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, you no longer need to arrive super early just to wait in a long line or pay the extra fee for an eat to the beat dining package, you can now book through Fast Pass+! Eat to the beat is considered a tier 1 attraction at Epcot and you can book it the same way as everything else, 60 days ahead plus the length of your stay if you are on a resort, and 30 days ahead if you are off site.
Food and Wine Festival Discovery Sampler Package
If you are anything like my family and I, we like to take at least one day of the Food and Wine Festival to eat only festival booth items. This always has us running around the park with small bills and coins in our pockets, which for theme park rides is a recipe for disaster. Not anymore! New this year is the Discovery Sample Package. For $59 per person plus tax you receive 8 entitlements for food or beverages of your choice at the Food and Wine Festival International Marketplace. You also receive priority seating at the 6:45 Eat to the Beat concert so you can save your Fast Pass for something else. On top of everything, you will also receive a limited edition 20th anniversary Food and Wine pin, a positive for any dis-er.
The Food and Wine International Marketplace Expands into Future World
The Food and Wine Festival is expanding! Head into Future World and visit the new Art of Wine and Cheese booths where the festival brings a convenience to pairing your wines with a selection of great cheeses. The Cheese Studio will offer a sampler of cheeses on an artist’s palette made to match one of the 26 on tap wines from the Wine Studio next door.
With the 20th anniversary of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival springing upon us in upcoming weeks, we are sure to be treated to many more new and exciting Special festival events, merchandise and Disney surprises. Will you be attending the Food and Wine Festival this year? Maybe to run the Wine and Dine half marathon? What’s your favorite festival booth?
